Southern Blue is a new hybrid Chinese Kale which produces thick and crispy stems with tender leaves, excellent for various cooking uses. This high quality variety becomes very popular in commercial production by farmers in Taiwan and Southern China. Plants grow vigorously in mild and subtropical climates, suitable for planting in 10-30 C temeprature season. Plants can grow up to 30-42 cm high and leaves spread to 30 cm wide. Plant weight can be from 75 to 400 grams per plant, depending upon the weather and soil conditions.
